Journal

From 6. to 12. June, our small wooden house was officially presented at the international furniture fair – Salone del Mobile. In collaboration with the Tiny Company, a company that has been developing small cabins for ten years, we designed a project that has the attributes of a full-sized house, but on a minimal footprint. The 24 + 12m2 area offers a panoramic bedroom, instant liquid crystal shading, luxury shower and toilet.

A full-size house on a minimal area

Fully equipped bathroom, airy living space and a super king size double bed with a view of the stars. The external storage space allows you to store everything you need, from bikes to skis. The simple space is accentuated by natural materials – walls and roof made of solid spruce CLT panels. Thanks to the gable roof, it is possible to place the cottage in locations that require a gable roof – for example, in the protected landscape area.

Generous glazing ensures a perfect blend with nature, tempered and reflective glass ensures safety for you and the animals, sturdy glued spruce CLT panels stabilize and the larch facade adds great aesthetics and moisture insulation. Advanced technologies for electricity generation and water treatment bring the freedom of living on an unsealed plot and guarantee real independence for your life and the building itself. Installation using earth screws, which have proven themselves even in very difficult mountain, allows the building can be built even in complicated places. The houses can be equipped with smart furniture, which Tiny Company produces in collaboration with Devoto and Bocca. The Tiny Furniture collection is suitable for all projects with limited space.

Design cooperation

The A-House cottage for this year’s Salone del Mobile was complemented by artwork from designers
Jiří Křejčiřík
and Taja Spassková. They have created a unique design edition represented by a wall sculpture and a light fixture and a large-scale burnt wood drawing. It also includes their joint design of the Nouveau furniture set, which references the Art Nouveau aesthetic.
