More light and air
If possible, locate meeting rooms near windows. Where daylight is absent, choose good quality lighting that simulates it, and don’t forget effective ventilation or air conditioning.
Why? Meeting rooms without access to daylight or fresh air feel cramped and tiresome. This reduces productivity and the desire to create.
Comfortable seating as a foundation
Invest in ergonomic chairs with high back support and adjustability. Comfortable seating will encourage concentration and creativity.
Why? Uncomfortable chairs and poorly designed furniture can distract from problem solving to thoughts of a sore back.
Design tailored to your needs
Design different types of rooms – from creative nooks and comfortable couches to larger conference rooms. Variety is the key.
Why? One-size-fits-all rooms that try to accommodate all types of meetings often don’t work. Brainstorming requires a different space than presenting to a client.
Modern and functional technology
Ensure quality technology – screens, wireless content sharing and a good sound system. But in addition to technology, training your staff so they know how to use it is key.
Why? Incompatible equipment or lengthy equipment setups can make the meeting unnecessarily complicated. “Can you hear me?” or “Can you see me?” should no longer be regular opening questions.
Acoustics that don’t interfere with concentration
Acoustic panels, curtains and carpets can significantly improve acoustics. High-quality microphones ensure that you can be heard even on the other side of the world.
Why? Poorly soundproofed rooms with echoes make communication difficult, especially in hybrid meetings.
Investing in the work environment is investing in people.
Meeting rooms are not only a functional but also a symbolic space – a calling card for your company culture.
