About project
Futured’s new headquarters reflects the evolution of the development company over the past few years. The client, for whom we designed the offices back in 2018, approached us again years later with the need for a new representative space that better reflects the character of the company. In the design of the new headquarters, we are building on the previous startup interiors designed in the spirit of modern industrial 2.0, and are taking the design to the wave of digitalisation and hi-tech atmosphere in the context of the new modern office district – industrial 3.0.

Work-life balance in the workplace
The new offices are located in the Vlněna Office Park in Brno. The company’s headquarters are spread over almost 500 m2 across the sixth and seventh floors of the tallest building. The lower floor is designed as the primary work and meeting space. Individual work zones are effectively separated from each other by boxy meeting rooms, phone booths and a tea kitchen with seating. This gives the open space a structured feel that adds a sense of calm and privacy.
On the seventh floor, the building significantly recedes in mass and creates space for a pleasant roof terrace overlooking the site. Adjacent to this, we propose a main community area with a kitchen and generous lounge seating where employees can play table football or enjoy a game on the PlayStation in the comfort of a soft sofa.
The variability of the community space was key for the investor. We therefore chose the type of furniture to allow for easy reconfiguration for different occasions such as informal meetings, leisure activities or company-wide gatherings. Employees also have a hot-desking area and a multi-function room on the floor that can be used for workshops, yoga classes or even ping-pong matches.
DNA of the company, DNA of the space
The design of the offices follows the idea of a hi-tech environment and the company’s predatory identity. The geometry of the Futured logo gives rise to a regular grid with chamfered corners, which is written into kitchen tiles, acoustic elements and joinery. The neutral grey shades are complemented by bold accents of reflective orange based on the visual style of the developer.
The basis of the material palette is silverý brushed metal, which with its shine and purity shifts the impression of the interior into a sci-fi atmosphere. We apply it in the form of trapezoidal sheet metal in tiles, on metallic flooring and in the details of the atypical and lighting. For the table tops in the meeting room and the bar tiling in the main kitchen we choose a solution from a Czech brand Plastic Guys z recycled plastic. We use the materials in larger areas as individual boxes, which between them form a quiet space for office life. Space, which will be completed by humans.
