About project
New optician’s branch ZITA is located in the Pradiareň 1900 building. This historic building with a touch of contemporary design served as the main inspiration for the interior project. Optics with examination rooms are designed with the same attributes as their sold products.

Eyeglass frames express the individuality and taste of the wearer, they are a mark of the era in which they were created. They represent both a beautiful and a self-confident fashion accessory. Glasses integrate artistic and design principles with technical and ergonomic aspects of the product into a functional whole. ZITA Optics Pradiareň with examination rooms is designed with the same attributes as the products sold. It mixes artistic – design parts with technical ones. These elements complement each other into a harmonious and strong whole.
Design
The spatial concept is designed to preserve the original space and its tectonic columnar structure as much as possible. The required closed rooms are inserted into it freely as individual boxes so as not to disturb the original structures. The interior is based on the white color of the column and vault constructions. The main material palette in the interior is translucent plexiglass, from which the exhibition panels for the frames of glasses are made. These clearly defined interior elements then naturally attract the visitor’s attention thanks to their backlighting.
Perforated sheet metal in the shade of the ZITA optics was used to cover the inserted examination rooms. This cladding hides built-in cabinets in some parts. A completely special material is used for the cash register counter. It is a translucent blue recycled plastic, the production of which was done using recycled plastic bottles. These technical, precise materials are complemented by blue curtains, which add the necessary colorful and organic accent to the interior. The floors are covered with a light gray rubber floor, which represents a neutral base and thus allows the inserted interior elements to stand out.
ZITA Pradiareň Optics was expanded to include eyekido, optics for small customers.
