We design hotels that respect the character of the place and combine comfort, functionality and atmosphere. The architecture of mountain and city hotels is based on local tradition and offers quality facilities for relaxation and active stay. We work with natural materials, simple forms and a strong relationship with the surrounding nature – so that the hotel is not just an accommodation, but an experience in itself.
Architecture that tells the story of a place
Each location has its own story – and we help tell it through architecture. We see hotels as part of a wider environment, not as isolated buildings. In mountainous areas we draw inspiration from traditional forms and proportions, in urban locations from the rhythm of the street and the cultural context. Design always begins with an analysis of the surroundings – its history, natural conditions and cultural identity – to create a solution that is in harmony with the site and fits naturally into it.
Comfort and functionality in perfect balance
A good hotel must be functional for the staff and comfortable for the guests. We design the layout to ensure smooth operation, easy orientation and a pleasant atmosphere. We pay attention to every detail – from the ergonomics of the rooms to the quality of light in the lobby. Comfort for guests is not just about a quality bed, but also about connecting the interior with the exterior, the possibility of relaxing on the terrace, access to nature or city life.
Sustainable and long-term solutions for hotels
Our designs include an emphasis on sustainability and the long-term durability of the building. We work with local and renewable materials, consider energy efficiency and natural lighting, and use modern technology for cost-effective operation. We realize that a hotel is an investment for decades, and therefore must be not only aesthetically attractive, but also economically and environmentally sustainable.
Atmosphere as part of the experience
Hotels are meant to be more than just a place to sleep – they are meant to create an atmosphere that supports the guest experience. We work with architecture as a tool for shaping emotions: quiet corners for relaxation, open spaces for gathering, views that draw nature in. Materials, light, colour and texture play an important role, and together they create a sense of calm, inspiration and well-being.
Hotel in Harrachov – an example of a sensitive approach
An example of our approach is Hotel in Harrachov, an apartment hotel located on the border of the Giant Mountains and the Jizera Mountains. The building combines elements of traditional mountain architecture with modern design and offers facilities for year-round recreation. A concrete plinth and vertical wood panelling made of burnt wood ensure resistance to the mountain climate, while large-format glazing brings plenty of light and connects the interior with the surrounding landscape. The project shows that even a modern hotel can respect tradition and become a natural part of its environment.
Connecting interior and exterior
One of our guiding principles is openness to the environment. We orient the hotel rooms, restaurants and wellness areas so that guests can experience the beauty of the place throughout their stay. We use terraces, loggias and French windows to connect indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging contact with nature.
Individual solutions for each investor
Each hotel project is original, adapted to the needs of the investor and the specifics of the location. We work with operators and interior designers to ensure that the final building is not only architecturally sound, but also commercially successful. Our experience allows us to design projects for various types of operations – from small family guesthouses to large resorts.
Architecture as an investment in experience
We believe that good hotels don’t just sell themselves through photos – they sell themselves through the experiences they offer guests. Architecture has the ability to shape and enhance these experiences, whether it’s a mountain resort surrounded by forests or an urban hotel in a vibrant city centre. Our goal is to create places that guests will love to return to and talk about.
